Government services · LDOS
Leidos (LDOS) gets 87% of its revenue from the U.S. government
What Leidos reports in its FY2025 10-K, and what federal contract records show.
Summary
Leidos generated 87% of its FY2025 revenue from U.S. government contracts, about $14.9B of $17.2B by our calculation, counting work as both a prime contractor and a subcontractor. It is the largest government services company we cover by revenue.
What sets Leidos apart is how civilian its contract record is. In federal fiscal year 2025, 57.2% of the $11.1B in prime contract obligations we matched to it came from agencies other than the Department of Defense. The single largest awarding agency was Veterans Affairs, at 25%, much of it medical disability examinations performed by its QTC subsidiary. Its largest active contract by total value is the operation of the National Cancer Institute's Frederick National Laboratory by Leidos Biomedical Research (HHSN261200800001E), with $4.81B obligated to date, followed by logistics support for the U.S. Antarctic Program for the National Science Foundation (NSFDACS1219442).
Matched obligations came to 0.74 times reported U.S. government revenue; the gap is consistent with the subcontract revenue Leidos includes in its share, which does not appear as prime awards. A civilian-heavy mix also means more exposure to civilian appropriations, the bills that lapse in a government shutdown.
